Purchase Order – Pollution Control Works Treatment Plant, Russellville AR

Charleston, SC, June 27, 2013 – EnviroMix announced today that its energy-efficient BioMix™ technology will be utilized at the Pollution Control Works Treatment Plant owned by the Russellville City Corporation in Arkansas. The facility will be upgraded to provide enhanced treatment to achieve compliance with nitrate effluent limits.

EnviroMix will provide its technology to mix eight anoxic biological treatment cells created within the current footprint of two operating process trains as well as four anoxic cells in a new process train. The BioMix™ system, utilizing one compressor, was chosen instead of 18 mechanical mixers at an estimated 75% power reduction. The technology will allow the facility to avoid significantly higher operating costs associated with competitive mixing technologies.

The Company expects its mixing and controls system to be operational by June 2014. Stuart Humphries, Director of Sales, states, “This project demonstrates our ability to utilize existing physical assets of the plant while facilitating compliance with effluent limits. Accommodating challenging geometries and offering greatly-reduced operating costs provided another opportunity to work with CDM-Smith as the design basis for anoxic mixing.”
